Our Top 10
Places to Stay in Poland
Facts about Poland started as a hobby site. We lived and worked in Poland for 2 years. I taught English at a private Polish langauge school and my wife worked in hers fathers import/export company - they are Dutch - it’s a long story.
Basically we fell in love with Poland. The Polish people. The Polish culture. The Polish country. The Polish food and of course the Polish beer.
In our 2 years we realised that Poland is a big country with so many places to see and so many people to meet. Each region in Poland has (like most places) their own culture. For example, people in the south of Poland in or near the Tatra mountains we found to be friendly and open. Whilst people in and around Warsaw for example to be quite closed and busy - again like most big cities in the world.
Anyway, we decided to write about our experiences in Poland based on our 2 years of living and working there. This site - Facts about Poland - is a work in progress site. Each day we hope to add more to it and who knows what it could grow into.
All the places we mention in facts about Poland we have either touched, smelt, seen or tasted so I know that somethings here may not appear for example in Tripadvisor.com or some other guide books - it is based on our own experiences and feedback from our friends in Poland.
We no longer live in Poland but we still travel back on a regular basis - so again more news to come.
